Sentrol's award-winning motion sensor line uses patented radar technology to precisely time the return signal and calculate distance to a moving object. Combining active radar with passive infrared, Range-Controlled Radar provides crisp detection and superior false alarm immunity within the range selected. Range settings are exact due to the timed range measurement of the return signal. The sensors don't respond to any return signals beyond the range selected, and they ignore spurious signal reflections within the protected area. They prevent false alarms caused by passing traffic and activity in adjoining areas, ceiling fans, rattling doors, and water moving in pipes. Range-Controlled Radar reduces installation and training time since the installer is not required to make any complicated adjustments to the sensor. A jumper switch is used to quickly set the detection zone at 9, 18, 27, or 35 feet, in a tight coverage pattern. Installation occurs in less than a minute. The exact range measurements also eliminate the need for walk testing. For high security installations, the AR435 sensors can be set in radar-only mode for stealth installations behind barriers such as sheet rock, paneling, blinds, and drapes. The pet immune model (RCR-PI) is available for immunity to non-human movement up to 80 pounds.
